I wanted to give some guidelines for the Derby to help everyone out and understand how it works and affects others.
First and foremost, make sure you go to settings (gear icon), “ADV SETTINGS” and enable chat.
Right below this option is the Participate (opt-in) for the derby. A green checkmark means opted in. You can opt-in or opt-out here. You can also opt-in at the derby board.
You do not have to participate in the derby to be in the neighborhood, but you do have to opt-out if you are not going to participate in the derby.
To learn more about the derby, make sure you go to the derby board and click on the ? in the upper left. Scroll through all the pages of the information. The last will be specific to the current derby or if the derby ended it will be the one starting next.
Derbies run 6 days, starting on Tues morning game time. They end Sunday night game time. The derby board tells you the time left in the derby.
It is very important if you are NOT going to participate, you opt-out. The reason this is important is that when a derby starts, our neighborhood is paired up with other neighborhoods that have the same number of neighbors opted-in. It also increases the points needed for horseshoes the more players opted-in. So it really hurts your neighbors when you are opted-in and not participating. Going forward I will give you one warning and post it here as to the date of the warning, then you will be kicked out if you do it again. This is your responsibility to make sure you are opted-out.
Minimum score is 320 points times the number of tasks. (For example- Expert League is 8 tasks x 320=2,560 points). You will not be in the following derby if you do not get the minimum points. We only do 320 tasks!! Only 2 warnings on this.
For current members, please respond in the game chat with “I have read Derby post“. New members, after joining please respond the same in the game chat, not on this website. (For those that have not read and responded to this post, they will be kicked out before the end of the derby for failing to attain the minimum points.)

**BLOSSOM DERBY TRICK***
If you are the last one to be completing a task, wait until about 25 min before you finish it. Go to Derby board and delete 1 task, wait 10-15 seconds and delete the next…keep doing this until all of the tasks that need deleted are done waiting between each one. Once you complete the task, go to the derby board deleting the Blossom task, then find the first task that will be refreshed…as soon as it is ready, click refresh. The new Blossom task will be the first one to come up. If it is not one that we want, trash it quickly and go to the next task that is about to refresh, repeat the steps on it for each refreshing task until one comes up we want.
